Cooley Group, Inc., an industry leading branded solutions provider in promotional, print and fulfillment for over 75 years, announced today that it has again been named one of the Best Companies to Work for in New York by The New York State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management, Best Companies Group and Rochester Business Journal.
Cooley Group is headquartered in Pittsford, NY, and has offices throughout the state. As a locally based and all employee-owned company, Cooley Group has a long history of hiring locally, maintaining a culture of continuous learning, teamwork, integrity, and service. These values have been the foundation that has enabled lasting client relationships, continued growth, and achievement.
“We are honored to have earned this distinction again in 2023. Cooley Group has had tremendous growth in the past year, which can sometimes put a strain on an organization. I’m proud to say that my colleagues excelled during this period, supporting each other and our clients,” said Phil Yawman, President. “We regularly conduct NPS surveys to monitor customer satisfaction but we believe that assessing our colleagues’ experience is just as important. Being honored with this award which is based 75% on employee input is extremely gratifying.”
The distinctive Best Companies to Work for in New York Program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in New York, whose practices benefit the state's businesses, economy and workforce. Winners are determined by evaluating the company’s workplace policies, practices and demographics, followed by an employee survey to measure their experience.
Yawman went on to add, “We’re also fortunate to have a team with a wide range of experience, from those early in their careers to industry veterans who share their experience and mentor their colleagues.”
The Cooley Group team has almost 350 years of collective industry experience, ranging from several months to several decades. Cooley Group has a very high employee retention rate and has successfully hired additional resources to support its growing client base. This has been made possible in part due to the company’s competitive compensation and benefits package including:
- Flexible hybrid work environment
- 401(K) and Profit Share Plan
- Company stock ownership for all employees
- Company provided health and dental coverage
- PTO, including a company-wide community service day
- Cooley U Learning & Development Program
In addition to being honored as a Best Company to Work for in New York, the company has also been named a Greatest Company to Work For by Promotional Products Association International. Cooley Group colleagues have earned numerous industry awards and have best in class NPS scores.
